Operating at scale requires reliable and detailed workforce and operational planning. With 10,000 professionals employed, planning is crucial for Asito. For the planning of various branches and staff departments, Asito used an Excel‑based tool developed in‑house for many years. Various data sources had to be brought together manually via Excel. To gain deeper insight, improve data consistency and support growth, Asito made the switch to SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (SAP BPC, version 10.1).
With the use of SAP BPC, Asito has gained insight at much deeper levels. In addition, the setup of SAP BPC is more closely aligned with the current organisational structure. All of Asito’s staff departments and various branches can now create their own plans. The branch planning is built up in detail, starting from the objects to be cleaned per customer and taking into account contract dates, seasonal patterns and specific key figures. This detailed approach results in accurate customer‑level planning, consolidated regional plans and a clear overall plan for Asito as a whole.
The use of SAP BPC brings many advantages for Asito. The organisation can now monitor planning versus actuals at the customer level across all key performance indicators. Because Asito also uses SAP’s BI platform, reports can be created directly in a familiar format. The recognisability ensures that the reports are easy to read and that a consistent structure is applied across all reports.
“We can now plan at the customer level, the business benefits directly.”
There was also a need for more consolidated planning, including liquidity forecasts and cash flow. These financial insights are now brought together in one integrated SAP BPC solution.
For the implementation of SAP BPC, Asito set a tight deadline. With the support of cpmview, the entire project was delivered within the agreed planning. The workshops prior to the implementation were experienced as very useful and insightful. The short communication lines between Asito and cpmview contributed significantly to an efficient and transparent implementation process.
In the future, Asito wants to further develop its reporting to gain even more insight. The objective is to merge several SAP BPC workbooks so that workflows become more flexible and efficient. In addition, Asito is exploring the use of SAP BPC for consolidation in the future to further streamline financial processes.
“We were looking for an implementation partner who could think along with us, a party that takes you into the process and helps us improve our processes. We immediately had this trust in cpmview. ”
